Twitter just announced that they have developed a new set of frameworks that allows Twitter to work anywhere on the web. The new platform called @anywhere works similar like Facebook’s Facebook Connect. Third party websites will be able to plug in @anywhere to integrate some basic Twitter function without requiring users to navigate away from the web page.
And rather than implementing APIs, Twitter has made the integration simple by just needing the website to drop in a few lines of javascript. While the new function is expected to be widely used in the future by the websites we visit everyday, the initial participating sites include Amazon, Bing, Digg, eBay, Meebo, MSNBC.com.

I am using facebook to sharing information, photo, interest with my friends, family and partners. What is the usage of Twitter for me? I started to try using Twitter as one more tool for sharing information. For three months, I logged on to facebook and twitter everyday and sharing different information using the two media. And I came up with the following conclusion for Twitter:
1. Twitter is open – User is free to follow any user they want. Even I am not the friend with someone, I can follow his/her shared information; scan his tweet and information.
2. Twitter is real time – 140 characters only. It is faster than any media and newspaper. It is real time news from first person news. You can see how powerful this media for news broadcasting in this example of a person tweeting message of a plane crash.
Now I am sharing my realtime news by my mobile, retweeting useful message from my following, searching realtime news/technology in world. Any new idea for using twitter, let share with me.

Social media will take over web 2.0 in 2010. Web 2.0 was a popular term in Internet 5 years ago for describing new trend of technology in Web development. Web 2.0 like a new version of software (Web 1.0); bug is fixed, new web design, many enhancement. But what is it? From Wikipedia, Web 2.0 is commonly associated with web applications that facilitate interactive information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design, and collaboration on the World Wide Web. Google Chrome OS just released more information about its opened source project. You can get the source here. The new OS is all about the web, and all applications are web based. There won’t be any traditional desktop applications. With Chrome OS, you do not need to deal with installing and managing programs; and starting up system only needs 7 seconds. The Chrome OS is totally line up with their existing products and service mission.
In the future, you may find Ads when you start up your computer. And since all information will be stored and analyzed by a Cloud, you might find personalized ads with content that learns from your personal behavior and files.
