Google Chrome OS just released more information about its opened source project. You can get the source here. The new OS is all about the web, and all applications are web based. There won’t be any traditional desktop applications. With Chrome OS, you do not need to deal with installing and managing programs; and starting up system only needs 7 seconds. The Chrome OS is totally line up with their existing products and service mission.
In the future, you may find Ads when you start up your computer. And since all information will be stored and analyzed by a Cloud, you might find personalized ads with content that learns from your personal behavior and files.
